Global Knowledge Partnership
The Global Knowledge Partnership (GKP) is a worldwide network that harnesses the potential of information and communication technologies (ICTis) for sustainable and equitable development. GKP create multi-stakeholderi partnerships between governmentis, civil society groups, donor agencies, private sector companies and inter-governmental organisations to apply ICTs for development. GKP engages in a set of programmatic activities including international and regional convenings, publications, advocacyi, awards, seed grants, internships, and thematic and regional focal groups. Founded in 1997, GKP now comprises 92 members from 40 countries covering all continents. It is governed by an elected Executive Committee and serviced by a Secretariat based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
