National ICT policy and gender equality, Regional perspective: Asia

Paper prepared for the Expert Group Meeting of the UN Division for the Advancement of Women focussing on the impact of ICTiS and their use as an instrument for the advancement and empowermenti of women. The paper compares national policyi in a range of issues including universal accessi, e-governancei, trafficking of women, pornography, censureship, cybercrimei and ICTs as a public good. The paper suggests six concrete points of intervention in gender and ictsi for national governmentis to explore.
