Siko has worked with global online communities for over 10 years with an intent to build bridges and empower people to share knowledge. As Director of Community Resources at the Wikimedia Foundation, she led a team of grantmakers and community organizers to support individuals and organizations around the world in sharing free knowledge on Wikipedia and its sister projects.
As an advocate, strategist and facilitator for communities and organisations, Anasuya Sengupta has worked nationally in India, regionally across the Global South, and internationally for over 20 years. She is committed to amplifying voices ‘from the margins’ in the virtual and real worlds, while unpacking issues of power, privilege and access (including her own).
The site is meant to be a think tank OF and FOR women's rights, sexual rights and internet rights activists, academics, journalists and advocates. We carry articles, news, podcasts, videos, comics and blogs on internet policy and cultures from a feminist and intersectional perspective, privileging voices and expressions from Africa, Asia, Latin America, Arabic-speaking countries and parts of Eastern Europe.
