Daiane Araujo

Daiane Araujo dos Santos is a Brazilian activist in human rights and at Information and Communication Technologies field. Living in the periphery of the south of São Paulo, she graduated in Geography in 2018 and, since 2010, she works in social movements to fight for the rights of children and youth at her neighborhood, being one of the coordinators of the community network Rede Base Comum (São Paulo, Brazil). She has been a member of the institutions that designed the community network in a peripheral region of São Paulo: Instituto Pedro Macambira, where she is a member since its foundation in 2013, and she has implemented the Casa dos Meninos Community Network (Common Base) since 2015. Today she contributes to the implementation of community networks in other states in Brazil, bringing discussions about critical appropriation of technology and its impact on people's social and community life.
