The following case summaries are excerpted from End violence against women: Country reports, which involve seven countries and are part of research commissioned by the Association for Progressive Communications Women’s Rights Programme (APC WRP) beginning in 2013. APC WRP promotes gender equality in the design, implementation, access and use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) and in the policy decisions and frameworks that regulate them.

End violence against women research focuses on tech-related violence, from mobile phones to the internet. Additional documents will bepublished later this year. Identifying country information is not included in the summaries in order to protect the privacy of survivors; instead they are categorised by region: Central and East Africa, Central and South America, South and Southeast Asia, Southeastern Europe. Names of survivors have also been changed.
