Dr Aretha Oluwakemi Asakitikpi
Dr Aretha Oluwakemi Asakitikpi is the Director of KASA Training and Development Pty, her private enterprise that specializes in research and training in Sub-Saharan Africa. She also serves as a part-time supervisor for research projects at STADIO Higher Education in Johannesburg, South Africa. Dr Asakitikpi has undertaken extensive research on media and curricular representations of gender, asserting that these depictions can lay the groundwork for legitimizing gender-based violence, inequalities, and oppressive patriarchal cultures, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa. She is currently the Principal Investigator for the FIRN-funded research project titled "Exploring Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence in Online Dating Experiences among South African Youths."
